Membership Structure

IGUER members participate at different levels according to their research experience and academic record.

Senior Member

Members with substantial research and publication experience who may contribute to research leadership, internal review, and mentoring activities.

Researcher Member

Members with established research or publication experience who actively participate in research projects and academic review activities.

Junior Member

Members developing their research experience through collaborative projects, academic interaction, and mentoring within IGUER.

Membership level is determined based on research experience and publication record. Applicants may initially join as Junior Members and later advance to Researcher or Senior Member status.

Membership Fee

IGUER members may be required to pay an annual membership fee. Members who join IGUER during its founding year, 2026, are exempt from the membership fee for the year of admission.

Membership fees are used to support the operation and research activities of IGUER. Subject to internal review and the availability of organizational funds, financial support may be provided for research-related expenses, article processing charges (APCs), and other publication-related costs.

Payment of a membership fee does not guarantee financial support for research or publication expenses.

Failure to pay the applicable membership fee for a given year may result in the temporary suspension of membership status.

Consent to Collection and Use of Personal Information

1. Purpose of Collection and Use

IGUER collects and uses personal information for the assessment of eligibility for IGUER membership and, for successful applicants, membership administration and record management.

2. Personal Information Collected

Required information: Full name, email address, year of study, university or institution, major or department, and publication experience.

Optional information: Short Motivation and CV / Research Portfolio Link.

3. Retention and Disposal

Successful applicants: Full name, email address, university or institution, major or department, and publication experience will be retained while membership remains active. Year of study will be deleted within three months after notification of acceptance.

Optional information, including Short Motivation and CV / Research Portfolio Link, will be deleted within three months after notification of the application result.

Upon withdrawal from IGUER, retained personal information will be deleted within three months from the date of withdrawal.

Unsuccessful applicants: All personal information collected through the application will be deleted within three months after notification of the application result.

4. Use of Form Processing Service

IGUER uses Formspree, a third-party form processing service provided by Formspree, Inc., to receive membership applications submitted through this website.

Information submitted through this form may be transmitted to and processed by Formspree for the purpose of delivering the application to IGUER. According to Formspree's Privacy Policy, information may be processed in the United States and other countries where Formspree operates.

5. Right to Refuse Consent

Applicants have the right to refuse consent to the collection and use of their personal information. However, the required information above is necessary for membership application and eligibility assessment. Therefore, refusal to provide consent may prevent IGUER from processing the application.

6. Publication of Member Information

For applicants who are accepted as IGUER members, IGUER may publish the member's full name, university or institution, and research field on the official IGUER website for the purpose of presenting the organization's membership and research community.

Publication of this information is optional and is not a condition of IGUER membership. Members may request modification or removal of their published information at any time by contacting IGUER.
